M. Kendall Hillman
M. Kendall Hillman is a partner with Hillman & Lucas, PC, focusing his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, real estate, and business law. He is also a trained and experienced mediator.
Mr. Hillman was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1986, after receiving his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his law degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Mr. Hillman is active in local civic and community affairs, having served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce, the Solano County Bar Association, and the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club. In 1999-2000, he served as Chairman of the Board for the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hillman served as a Pro Tem Judge for the Solano County Courts from 2001 to 2007. He has served on the Mediation Panel of the Solano County Courts since 2004.
Matthew R. Lucas
Matthew R. Lucas is a partner with Hillman & Lucas, PC. Mr. Lucas practices in the areas of civil litigation, insurance and municipality defense, business law, and estate planning and administration. He also provides mediation and arbitration services.
Mr. Lucas was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1990, after receiving his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Lucas has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Solano County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He is a past President of the Solano County Bar Association.
Joseph M. Canning
Joseph M. Canning is an attorney with Hillman & Lucas, PC, focusing his practice in the areas of bankruptcy and civil litigation. Mr. Canning was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2007, after receiving his undergraduate degree in economics from Brigham Young University and his law degree from Villanova University School of Law. Mr. Canning is admitted to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, and represents bankruptcy clients throughout Northern California. He speaks Spanish fluently.
F. Richard Lucas
F. Richard Lucas is a mediator-arbitrator with Hillman & Lucas, PC. Mr. Lucas is a former attorney who was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1961 and has recently retired from the practice of law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Santa Clara (B.S., summa cum laude) and his law degree from Stanford Law School. Mr. Lucas is a past member and President of the Solano Community College Governing Board, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member and past President of the Solano County Bar Association. As an attorney, he practiced in the area of civil litigation and gained more than 40 years of experience in insurance defense. As a mediator-arbitrator, Mr. Lucas handles primarily personal injury matters.
